Strategic partnership between UN Global Compact Network Malaysia & Brunei (UN GCMYB) and the Malaysian Alliance of Corporate Directors

The UN Global Compact Network Malaysia & Brunei (UN GCMYB) and the Malaysian Alliance of Corporate Directors (MACD) signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) February 2021 to establish a strategic partnership to work together as knowledge partners on shared priorities and to develop common plans for action towards achieving sustainable development goals.

PETALING JAYA, MALAYSIA, February 2021

UN GCMYB and MACD are delighted to announce the establishment of a strategic partnership to work together as knowledge partners on shared priorities to develop common plans for action towards achieving sustainable development goals

UN GCMYB and MACD will jointly develop research surveys that aim to understand the views, priorities and challenges in sustainability of the board of directors in the business community, and will explore opportunities to organize corporate events, conferences, workshops and programmes on corporate sustainability and the relevant subject matters.

MACD is an independent, not-for-profit membership entity and an Inaugural Member of the Global Network of Director Institutes (GNDI) comprising 22 leading Director Institutes globally. Its President, Adj. Prof. Paul W Chan, is also the Global IIRC Ambassador of International Integrated Reporting Council (UK), a strong proponent and advocate for Integrated Reporting and sustainable development.
