The Integrity, Governance, and Anticorruption Awards (AIGA) 2022 on 18 January 2023 was a historic event, officiated by YAB Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah Haji Yusof, Deputy Prime Minister on behalf of YAB Prime Minister, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The awards were organized for the first time by the Integrity Institute of Malaysia (IIM) with the goal of recognizing and celebrating organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to integrity and good governance.
It was an honour to witness a video presented at the beginning of the program, produced in collaboration by MACD and IIM. The video featured Adjunct Professor Paul W Chan speaking about the significance of integrity and governance.
Guests included both the Chairman and CEO of Bursa, as well as the Secretary-Generals of various Ministries.
Reinushini Chandrasegaram, Chair of Professional Development, represented MACD in the Panel of Assessors of IIM for AIGA 2022.
As part of the Panel of Assessors, she was involved in the assessment and evaluation process of organisations participating in AIGA 2022.
The AIGA 2022 is a Government initiative, through IIM, to cultivate integrity, best governance and anti-corruption in the public and private sector.
The award recognises and appreciates organisations in both the public and private sector which manifest a commitment in instilling and upholding a culture of integrity and excellence in corporate governance as well as anti-corruption initiatives in both public and private organizations.
