Dr. Alexandra R. Lajoux

Dr. Alexandra R. Lajoux, Founding Principal, Capital Expert Services, LLC (CapEx), is currently responsible for recruitment to the firm’s elite Capital Expert Registry™. She holds the title of Chief Knowledge Officer Emeritus of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) in the United States, being named to that position following 30 years as the organization’s most senior researcher. Dr. Lajoux holds a B.A. from Bennington College; an M.A. and Ph.D. from Princeton University; and an M.B.A. from Loyola University in Maryland.
Dr. Lajoux has been engaged in the corporate governance field for four decades. For McGraw-Hill, she created the Art of M&A series, recruiting all authors and experts and authoring or co-authoring all books in the series.
Apppontments, Honors, And Publications:
Dr. Lajoux serves on the Board of M&A Standards and on the advisory boards of Campaigns & Elections magazine and the Caux Roundtable. An associate member of the American Bar Association, she is a Life Member of the NACD, as well as the Association of Princeton Graduate Alumni, where she served as a trustee. She represents NACD on the policy committee of the Global Network of Director Institutes, and is active in a global forum at the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants. Dr. Lajoux has published on a variety of subjects including bank mergers, distressed acquisitions, due diligence, financing, postmerger integration, strategy, and valuation. Her articles have appeared in numerous periodicals.
