FutureBoards is a project-driven company that aims to raise awareness, drive the debate and develop good practice for HOW and by WHOM companies should be governed in the future. We bring together global voices and thought leaders, investors, CEOs, board chairs, politicians, regulators and academics to exchange insight, thoughts and ideas on how business owners and governing bodies can best respond to expectations and scrutiny from stakeholders and society, while ensuring long-term value creation for the company’s shareholders and other stakeholders.

Research confirms that balanced boards make balanced decisions and that both men and women should contribute to corporate governance.

Rather than debating WHY women should be board directors, current discussions are about HOW to achieve a reasonable gender balance. FutureBoards develops projects and organises events to help companies compose the best boards and top management teams.

By allowing the exchange of ideas and sharing of experiences, the event aims to explore ways to achieve the Diversity Action Committee’s recommendation of 20% women by 2020 on the boards of the 100 largest listed companies of SGX.

The event is hosted by the Royal Norwegian Embassy, Singapore, and is organised by FutureBoards in collaboration with Innovation Norway, Singapore Institute of Directors, BoardAgender and Malaysian Alliance of Corporate Directors. Please find full program here.
